Project overview
East Shore Marine is a premiere world class marine facility located in Lindenhurst, Long Island NY. The marina offers a wide range of services and amenities to include dockage, dry storage, maintenance, part sales, and new/used boat sales.
Prior to our work, this client had a dated html website that could not be found via Google Search. Our initial task was to create a brand new, modern & user-friendly website to showcase all the services & amenities East Shore has to offer.
Since our initial project we have updated the site multiple times with new boat manufacturers for the sales department.
Our Approach
Our involvement in this project was extensive. After researching the marine services industry, we began by helping East Shore Marine plan their new website. We created original writing and visual content for the entire site to include photography, custom video, and a complete virtual tour.
We also worked with Yachtworld’s API to display East Shore’s entire stock of new and used boats in real time on their website. This enabled the sales team to update only once on Yachtworld and have all new listings immediately appear on the site.
Since 2016, when we began working with East Shore Marine, we’ve added/removed 5 major boat manufacturers to their sales page as they’ve migrated between brands. Too keep their ship running tight, we perform software updates regularly and content updates as needed.
The end result of our work is a comprehensive, 100% original, media-rich site that is always running secure, up to date software.
The Work

- Applied what we learned to create a competitive site structure & SEO targeted written content
- Captured custom ground & drone photography to fill the website with original content to include a Google virtual tour (see below)
- Created a look & layout optimized for mobile & desktop viewing
- Conceived, filmed, & edited a video to run on the website's homepage
- Integrated the Yachtworld API to seamlessly present all sales listings on the website
- Employed accessibility compliance software to insure a handicap friendly site
- Worked directly with various boat manufacturers to gather marketing material & created brand specific sales pages
- Generated custom graphics and images throughout the site
- Provide software updates for security as well as periodic website updats

Prioritizing website accessibility within the marine sector not only meets legal requirements but also enhances user experiences. Incorporating ADA principles, WCAG guidelines, and compliance with Section 508 and EN 301549 ensures that maritime websites are perceivable, operable, and understandable to all users, including those with disabilities.
By integrating accessibility software on the website, we helped East Shore Marine demonstrate its commitment to inclusivity, enabling everyone to access maritime-related resources and services.
